HIBLA | Grip of Wet Knots
After all, when knots are wet, / It’s harder to untie." Explore this compelling poetry feature written by Hiraya with artwork by pol, originally published in Hibla, The Envergan's official literary folio for Academic Year 2025–2026.

A tear shed for a sorrowful eye,
the sweat of hard-earned life,
and the salivation for one spoken truth,
doesn’t break the ties filling our paths.
It solidifies our ground,
Not to cut through one’s knee,
But rather catch them as they plead.
It grips when you slip,
It reaches your own lead.
After all, when knots are wet,
It’s harder to untie.
